Costume Designer Leena Mistry Signs

Leena Mistry is a highly sought-after and well resepected London-based freelance Costume Designer and Fashion Stylist. Born and raised in Leicester, Leena graduated with a respected BA in International Fashion Marketing at Manchester Met University before pursuing her lifelong ambition - a career in Costume with the TV & Film industry.

Leena is a force of nature. Bubbly, quirky, enthusiastic, determined and organised. Her eye for detail is impeccable and she works very collaboratively, often sharing great ideas which look to elevate the costumes, in turn making the characters feel more real, which contributes to the world building of the story. 

Soon after moving to London, with thanks to her commitment, persistence, natural talent and passion, she was soon awarded work as a Fashion Stylist working with major brands and styled advertising campaigns including Clarks, Lulu, Guiness, Kipling and Birkenstock. She went on to secure work as a freelance fashion stylist working on Ecom shoots with stores such as Harrods, Selfridges and House of Fraser

Mistry was soon scouted by Director Rajinder Kosher and was invited to design for her short film GIRL LIKE YOU. The success of this film paved the way for a striking array of narrative, commercial and music video work. 

Genres include: Coming of Age, Horror, modern-day and period drama.

Working within longform her credits include; SACRIFICE directed by Andy Collier & Tor Main, WE DO WHAT WE CAN directed by Kwaku Awuku-Asabre, SNEAKERHEAD directed by Simon Neal, GIRL LIKE YOU directed by Rajinder Kochak and AL SARAB and ROOM FOR TWO both directed by Riffy Ahmen, the latter being offically selected for BFI Flare.

She has designed for the likes of Vodafone, Hotels.com, Dominios, Netsky, Manscaped, Sons of Raphael within commercials and music vids to name a few. We are thrilled to have her on board.
